Infamy, A True Crime Podcast, by Brian Valmond, is a First Look into the Real Life Street Figures of the Past.
Brian Valmond's true crime podcast Infamy, is taking his brand to an even higher level.
Ever since the untimely passing of one of music’s most authentic storytellers, Combat Jack, the podcast and music world has been looking for someone who could honor his legacy and bring forth stories from the culture in a way that came across as educational and not exploitative.
For Queens Native Brian Valmond, whose highly popular Valtown brand made the covers of Delaware Online and The New York Times in 2024, his efforts to share cultural gems for the world to see are a small nod to Combat Jack's impact on us all.
A mix of short-form and long-form content, his material from Blood Currency to his storied Rich in the Hood series, comes after a ten-year journey of researching, sharing, and creating the type of content that put him on the who’s who of media influencers from Noah Callahan-Bever to Jon Caramanica.
His upcoming project, Infamy, a partnership with podcast giant Jonathan Mena, one of the co-creators of the Combat Jack Show and one of the creators of the Loud Speakers Network, represents his first foray into true crime podcasting. The show’s focus on cultural figures whose legend looms large adds to his digital portfolio and showcases even more of the complex backstories behind some of the urban world’s figures.
Photos of popular cultural figures like Robert “Yummy” Sandifer and Richard “Fritz” Simmons are just some of the people we can expect to hear from. Set to be released on June 2, 2025, be sure to follow his social media pages for more information.
