For those fans who’ve followed North Carolina singing sensation Ashley Blaire-Hunt since her days of American Idol fame, her success and the attention she’s garnering is nothing new. But for those unfamiliar with her talent and her music, her newest single, “Crash Out”, produced by Mark Sanders Jr and Alex Corvera, is the perfect introduction.
A cautionary tale of love and affection gone wrong, the track finds Ashley reminiscing on past situations with a lover where her emotions got the best of her and she found herself, “pulling up” on the would-be manipulator to confront them.
“I just wanted to show people what goes on in the mind of a woman through that process and even men who go through that. We don’t talk about it enough and it is important to be shown.”
In a time where music fans are desperately looking for music that speaks to their reality, songs like this one represent just that, a subtle nod to the inspirational R&B lane Ashley spoke of in an earlier interview. Although her roots stem from the church, Ashley understands the need for relatable music, stating,
“Part of being an artist is you have to be relatable. I want to appeal to a lot of different groups and people and so I have challenged myself with my writing to be just that and get straight to the point.”
The accompanying visualizer and vocals support her intentions to resurrect the storytelling element of music that prior decades used to hook fans in. Crafted and coordinated by her manager Mark Sanders Jr. of Royalty Entertainment, the video and song represent the start of her 2025 campaign to introduce herself to a larger audience and, most of all, allow her to become a household name.
“The new record from Ashley, Crash Out, from top to bottom showcases her impressive artistry. Backed by a professional team, she has poured her heart and soul into writing and singing this standout track, says her manager. Sanders, who spent most of his career producing music for industry heavyweights such as Kevin Gates, is using his knowledge to create a powerhouse label housed in North Carolina.
For those eager to see what else Ashley has in store, stay tuned for more details on possible touring dates and music. Until then, take some time out of your day to stream her new single.
